Sam McMahon’s ‘The Instinct Diaries’ explores how the local environments of three Nidecker riders have shaped the way they ride and the gear they use. This second installment ‘kimochi-ii‘ (‘feels so good’) focuses on Nagano’s own Shin Biyajima. With travel to favorite spots like Alaska off the cards, he took inspiration from his friend, teammate and founder of 241 Clothing, Mike Basich, and finally made his own trailer tiny house! Shin then spent a good chunk of last winter riding from his cozy mobile base (He even won a new set of tires for his car and tiny house by taking the win the Freeride World Tour FWQ stop in Hakuba last winter!)
Here’s a taste of the constant challenges of making a tiny house – with English subtitles! To see the full behind-the-scenes of Shin’s tiny house build, and keep up with riding travels, give his Youtube channel a follow!
