Mt. Chokai, or “Chokai-zan”, is the highest peak in Tohoku, the northern part of Japan’s main island. Rising up on the border of Akita and Yamagat prefectures, it also receives some of the highest snowfalls in Japan, making it an ideal spiring session location for the K2 Japan Team at the end of last season. Alongside the big open lines, keep an eye out for Ryuji Takai and Takaoki ‘Hassy’ Hashimoto spring jibbing on their ’58 Excavators – showing the powerful boards can play too:
